Archbishop of Cardiff-Menevia urges Catholics to oppose assisted suicide in Wales

The Most Reverend Mark O’Toole, Archbishop of Cardiff-Menevia is calling on Catholics and people of goodwill living in Wales to write to their member of the Senedd, the Welsh Parliament, to oppose assisted suicide.

EMMAUS YOUTH RETREAT

This event takes place at St David’s College in Cardiff, on Sunday 23rd November, which is the Feast of Christ the King. The day runs from 10am to 5pm, and it includes the celebration of Holy Mass with Archbishop Mark. We will assist with transport for those traveling from different parts of the diocese.
The day costs £10 per person, which includes travel, lunch, and the day’s activities. It is essential that participants register by November 11th for this event.

  • Ensure the efficient and effective management of the budget and all resources within the school
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in school leadership, management and school improvement.

The Archdiocese of Cardiff-Menevia safeguarding team is working with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation to deliver free ‘live’ on line training sessions via TEAMS.

Professionals / Volunteers Protect – Tuesday 1st April 6-8pm

  • Enhance understanding of child sexual abuse.
  • Explore risk factors and prevention resources.
  • Learn how to support families effectively.

Digital Resilience – Wednesday 11th June 6-8pm

  • Keep children safe online amidst changing technology.
  • Build confidence in discussing internet safety.
  • Understand concerning online behaviors and develop a digital safety plan.

Understanding Harmful Sexual Behaviour – Wednesday 24th September 6-8pm

  • Identify healthy versus harmful behaviors among peers.
  • Learn how to respond to concerns regarding sexual harm.
  • Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness

Child sexual exploitation awareness – Wednesday 12th November 6-8pm

  • Understand risk factors and learn where to seek help.
  • Discover positive preventative actions to protect children and young people.
